Residence Move in dates

if you choose to stay in residence, students move in the night before the session start date.

Please arrive at the Mary E. Keyes residence between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on your specific check-in date.

3. Upon receipt of all of your documents (paid registration + report card), our manager will review your application and you will receive e-mail confirmation that you have been accepted to L.E.A.P.!

Get the most out of your LEAP experience by living on McMaster University's beautiful campus. Students are housed in Mary Keyes Residence, a suite- style residence hall with kitchenette, common living room and separate bedrooms. LEAP students enjoy the social aspects of living in close proximity while benefiting from the privacy of a single bedroom.

A variety of dining options are available on campus to meet all dietary needs and restrictions, including vegetarian. Students may also bring, store and prepare food in the kitchen of their suite. Cash, debit or credit cards can be used for food or beverage purchases at any of the campus & and off-campus eateries.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes, all LEAP students who choose the residence option will be supervised by LEAP residence instructors. All students will participate in all activities as one big group, including eating meals together.

No, LEAP coordinators do not organize travel to and from the airport for international students. All travel must be organized by the parent/gaurdian once the student has been accepted to the LEAP program.

The LEAP program cannot help with Visa applications, all questiosn regarding how to apply for a Visa should be directed to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/ 

However, LEAP will provide a letter of acceptance that can be used in your Visa application

Students who choose the residence option, will eat as a group for all meals. There are a few locations on campus as well as off campus where students will have the oppurtunity to visit with their Insturctors. All locations accept cash, credit and bank cards. 

Students will also have the opportunity to visit the local grocery store and get snacks, breakfast foods and other items they can store in their fridge in their residence.

Students who are staying inresidence must book their flights home to be on the day of or day before the session's end date. If student's are staying for more than one session, the flight must be booked before the final day of their session.
