Overview

Venture Academy’s Community Workshops are a new initiative to improve equity and inclusion in STEM. Venture Academy Community Workshops will be hosted at existing community programs locations and support various programs that aim to provide opportunities for underrepresented youth in STEM.

There are three different exciting community workshops available: Primary (Grade 1-3), Junior (Grade 4-6) and Intermediate (Grade 7-8) that each relate to technology and engineering.

Venture Academy Community Counsellors will go to summer camp programs in the GTHA to deliver the workshops offered. Venture Academy is looking to deliver workshops Monday to Friday from the beginning of July to the end of August. At this point in time, Venture Academy is looking to hear from community groups on their interest and availability to be a part of this initiative based on unique summer program plans.

If you are a community program/camp working with youth facing socioeconomic disadvantages, Indigenous youth, BIPOC youth and other equity seeking groups please contact us to discuss further partnership details.

Venture Academy follows all COVID-19 Safety Protocols as outlined by McMaster University.
